  • First Ship of 2020
    at the Port of Belledune
    The Port of Belledune welcomed the first ship of 2020 on January 2nd, at Terminal 2,
    named the M.V. ‘Algoma Value’. The vessel, consisting of a crew of 27 members,
    was carrying 60,000 MT of coal for NB Power. A ceremony was held on Jan. 3 in honor
    of the occasion. BPA Director of Engineering, Jeffrey David, presented
    Captain Raj Mani Pandey with the award marking them as the first ship of the year.
    The ceremony marked the kick off to another great year of operations at the Port!

The Port of Belledune is an ideal export port for wood pellets on the east coast of Canada.
